Camp Parsons Dining Hall in Brinnon, Wash., is a 14,000-sq-ft building and home to the oldest Boy Scout camp west of the Mississippi.

The $4.3-million woodframed, lodge-style structure is a replacement for a 1930s-era facility. It is designed to accommodate more than 600 people and features a state-of-the-art commercial kitchen.

The revamped building’s design, led by Eysaman and Co., features large wood trusses to maintain an open space in the main dining hall. It also has a hydronic heated flooring system.

The new dining hall has allowed more scouts to participate in the summer camp program.

Starting in August 2014, Exxel Pacific General Contractors completed the project in just nine months. It finished the job on June 8 with zero safety incidents.
