Dinosaur fans can have a great time at the $10-million, 10,825-sq-ft Moab Giants Dinosaur Park and Track Museum. The 44-acre park includes more than 100 realistic dinosaur replicas, grouped around a half-mile trail in chronological order for the eras in which they lived. The facility contains four main buildings: an entry structure with a gift shop and a 76-seat café, a museum with interactive exhibits, a “paleoaquarium” that offers a virtual-reality experience and a 50-seat theater. There’s also a children’s “dino playground” and bone-digging field. Along the way, the team faced brontosaurus-size challenges. The owners are investors from Poland, and language barriers and time differences had to be overcome. Additionally, the well for the property couldn’t disturb water levels in surrounding national parks. The roof of the paleoaquarium had to be raised so the theatrical equipment would function properly. The contractor also helped with the scheduling, shipping, handling and installation of the life-size dinosaur replicas from Europe.
