Taiwan-based Foxconn announced the location of its planned Wisconsin facility Oct. 3, after negotiations with the company and the small, southeast Wisconsin village of Mount Pleasant in Racine County. The company intends to build a campus with about 20 million sq-ft of office space over 1.56 square miles that could employ as much as 13,000 people to manufacture liquid crystal display screens used for mobile phones, televisions, computers and other devices. State and local incentives for the project total $3.8 billion.
