Despite working on an accelerated schedule within an occupied building, the team delivered this project on time and on budget.

Construction on the project began before the team was issued 100% design documents, requiring continual updates to the futuristic design throughout the project, especially custom millwork and the audiovisual and information technology tie-ins, the team says.

The scope of work for this $4-million, 28,500-sq-ft project included a high-end lobby, a large LED video wall installation on the elevator lobby ceiling and at various locations for product demonstration with custom millwork display stands.

The team says “meticulous planning and execution” were required for the fit-out of this new facility for Samsung’s global team as well as its U.S. business to government team.

Polished concrete floors installed at the main entrance provide an “innovative, tech-savvy and modern aesthetic,” the team says.

Ensuring proper IT security measures was critical for a center that serves as a convening space for Samsung customers and other partners, providing them with space to work between meetings and giving them the opportunity to talk to technical staff regarding Samsung products.

Further security measures include hidden card readers that provide specific personnel discreet entry into certain areas of the building.
