这个团队held onsite orientation meetings at the start of every day, discussing project-specific details as well as OSHA and Sundt safety requirements. Sundt regularly recognized team members for their safety practices, including weekly raffle tickets given to subcontractors for consistent or exceptional safety practices, quality work installed, clean work areas and team communication. A safety or quality person of the week was also recognized during all-hands jobsite safety meetings every Monday morning. Each month, one crew was selected for outstanding performance in safety, quality and workmanship and treated to a celebratory lunch. The project—which consisted of two residential towers, dining commons and a realigned arterial roadway into campus—saw zero OSHA-recordable incidents in more than 825,000 work hours.
