We recently announced which firms operating in the Southwesthave participated in the annual Contractors Survey。现在,En新利luckr Southwest自豪地宣布2018年年度承包商:Jokake Construction。
该公司continued a growth wave in 2017 that began about a decade ago: revenues are up nearly 25 percent in the past five years. Work performed by Jokake Construction is primarily in Phoenix area but the firm has also done work for clients in Tucson.
The growth occurred in conjunction with a work-focus shift over the past decade or so from interior redevelopment to a commercial contracting of new ground-up construction. At the same time the company morphed from a family firm to being 100% employee owned.
该公司’s current catalog of high-profile projects include:
“Project Future”
Firm partnered with McCarthy Nordburg, RSP Architects, SmithGroupJJR, and Evolution Design to build the “office suite of the future.” Together with the design partners, Hines, building management, and the trust of building owners Cypress and Oak Tree, the team helped re-imagine and create four distinct contemporary work spaces that defy all traditional standards. The 14,245 sq ft project included artificial indoor turf, a 3-D lighting feature, and moveable walls.
Carvana Southwest Distribution Center
Carvana’s Southwest Distribution Center will be the rehabilitation center for vehicles purchased from auction. Construction included five buildings on a 40-acre site that each serve a unique purpose to the rehabilitation process - vehicle maintenance, body paint, automated photo booth, as well as administrative office space. The cars are rehabilitated to “like new” condition and distributed to Carvana dealerships or implemented in their new car vending machines located throughout the nation.
Destiny Springs (in progress)
Destiny Springs is a two-story 67,566 sq ft, 90-bed build-to-suit behavioral health hospital. The building is a steel framed system with stucco and stone veneer. The amenities include a gym, onsite commercial kitchen, indoor basketball court, and outdoor courtyards.
Beyond tangible work put in place, the firm and its people participate in charitable giving and volunteerism. Community groups Jokake supports include: Beyond Autism; Dream Center; Family Promise; Feed My Starving Children; Maggie’s Place; Southwest Human Development; St. Mary’s Food Bank; UMOM; United Pet Care; Valley of the Sun United Way.
We will have much more on the firm in the July issue of ENR Southwest.
