Her unconventional path to construction means she brings unique skills & perspectives, which have contributed to her rapid promotions. She identifies as LGBTQ+ and loves the smell of steel, concrete, and drywall in the morning. At the ENR Top Young Professionals Conference, Smurphy hopes to connect with other young folks who are drawn to the field and have a vision for a future in our industry beyond the current ‘old boys club’ culture.
